The Story

It has been nearly a year since the Skylanders were able to defeat Kaos and his Hydra, returning Skylands to its former state of peace and prosperity.

Unfortunately, evil always finds a way of coming back.

Kaos' followers and armies are now banding together, determined in their quest to bring back Kaos through any means necessary. The culprit behind this scheme? Glumshanks!

All across Skylands, pirates, trolls, chompies, and undead Arkeyan soliders are wrecking havok and searching for a means to bring back their malevolent leader!

We must stop them, fellow Skylanders! We cannot allow Kaos to return!

To begin, all players must start at the Core of Light. From there, you can do nearly whatever you wish, as long as it is in line with the rules and guidelines.

Like the video game, the Core of Light will be the Hub World, so no enemies can enter this zone.

So, in saying that, start a quest! Find some baddies to fight! Make friends with fellow Skylanders!

Oh, and I guess you should have some fun. That may be important.

OOC: Let's get this party started!!

IC: Wham-Shell's red, spiky carapace steadily rose out of the Core of Light Sea, his body heading for shore. He had spent the past hour questioning the sea life if they had seen any signs of Kaos', now Glumshanks', minions. So far, nothing had been spotted.

"At least the Core remains safe for the time being." He thought. He headed towards the Core to deliver his report to Hugo.

IC: A soft static filled air brushed and rustled Whirlwinds soft feathers, a crisp air, reminiscent of that of a fresh autumn morning. The air's cool touch gently rose the sleeping rainbow-creating stormlover and her eye's fluttered open slowly. The slight onrush of light informed her that her sleep was over, and that the mornings dawn annued a new day. Uncurling and stretching slightly before stepping up, her head popped out of the small storm cloud she had created around herself so that her sleep would not be disturbed, and because of the comfort it provided her.

Stretching again and fluttering her feathered wings the cloud dissipated with a static crackle, a rainbow shine appearing around her as if to say a beautiful goodmorning. Sleepily looking around her perch atop a large standing stone, she noticed her friend and fellow Skylander Wham-Shell arising from the sea, and judging from the look on his face he was probably heading to report whatever it was he had decided to do so early in the morning.

Flapping rapidly she gently jumped off the rock and hovered her way down the rock, she now had her own duties to attend to as Hugo had asked to speak with her in the morning.

'I wonder what he wants with me?' she wondered to herself, her wings folding back as she landed gracefully. 'Usually I have a day off after a long mission, but it probably won't be possible with Glumshanks now a danger.' Her thoughts had her occupied and she almost ran into Trigger Happy who speed passed her chasing a coin, he had FAR too much energy for the early morning. Taking note of her surroundings again she noticed Hugo in the distance near the core of light, tinkering with whatever it was that he tinkered with on that machine.

'I just hope it has nothing to do with sheep. I am NOT chasing them away from him again, he needs to learn that they arn't anything evil.' She thought with a giggle, before stretching one last time and walking off towards Hugo.

IC: As the new day began Ghost Roaster slowly came up from his grave. He had slept very well that night and was wishing he hadn't been called upon by Hugo. But he knew that anyone who was willing to wake him up must have had something important to say. So he went forward to the core of life where Hugo was standing.

OOC: graz73? Have you reserved your Skylander hun? It might be best to do that before someone else takes Flameslinger from you. ^_^

IC: Finally fully awake Whirlwind continued to walk towards the everlasting-sheephater himself. Gentle rainbows sparkling between her feathers as she walked, the very air around her gaining a slight static tinge.

As she walked she saw a two of her fellow Skylanders seemingly walking towards Hugo too, walking slightly quickly she caught up and greeted them happily... or warily in Ghost Roaster's case.

"Goodmorning guys. Have you all been called to Hugo this morning? Do you know what he wanted with us? And what were you up to this morning Wham-Shell? I saw you rise out of the water before." Whirlwind asked with a happy smile, her gentle voice an echo in the mornings crisp wind. She had nodded to each of them in turn as she spoke, although she couldn't keep full eye-contact with Ghost Roaster as she nodded a goodmorning to him... He had purposely scared her the other day by walking around with his head in his hand. She had nearly fainted from fright when he spoke to her like that that day.

And Flameslinger was STILL somehow looking at her directly, despite the fact he still wore that blindfold. She to this day could NOT understand how he was able to seemingly see so well even while wearing it.

And Wham-Shell was looking a little serious this morning, so she must have been correct in thinking he had been off on some mission this morning. She was oddly curious as to what it was, and if it had anything to do with why they all had gathered this morning.

IC: As Ghost Roaster reached Hugo he saw some of his fellow skylanders. The first person he saw was whirlwind. He smiled she was a great friend and probably the most loyal of all the skylanders but he had always had fun tricking her and he could tell his last "spinning head" joke hadn't gone well with her by the way she barely looked at him. Also there was wham shell and flameslinger he braced himself for whatever hugo was going to say,he knew it would be bad if it required so many skylanders to accomplished. well either that or they were having a party..

OOC: I deleted graz's post, as he is not approved for any Skylander :/ It sucks, but it's the rules. In case this kind of thing happens again, where a player isn't confirmed but plays anyway, just ignore the post for the time being, as it will be deleted. Thanks guys!

IC: Wham-Shell was pleased to see his fellow Skylanders finally awake. Most of them lived a very leisure-filled life when not fighting against the forces of darkness.

Wham-Shell, however, was once a king, so his mornings always started early to begin his duties. Now, his duties resided with the Skylanders, and he took those duties very seriously.

Before Wham-Shell could report to Hugo, he was quickly intercepted by the elegant and gentle Whirlwind. He initially tried to walk around her, but he noticed he had been very quickly caught in between Whirlwind and the newly arrived Ghost Roaster.

Whirlwind questioned what he had been doing that morning.

"I was investigating. The sea life on this island travels far and wide, while gossip travels further and faster. Not a single one of them has seen or heard of evil forces entering the Core of Light's domain. I was planning on telling Hugo this immediately, but a couple of creatures I call my friends happened to interrupt me." Wham-Shell smirked as he spoke the last bit. He noticed the hint of tension between Whirlwind and Ghost.

"Whirlwind, are you still upset with Ghost? It was all in good fun. I know I enjoyed your reaction!"

ICC:Ghost Roaster said with a smirk ," Yeah sorry about that whirlwind!! I didnt meen to scare you that bad!! and dont worry, i know how you feel i have to look at this face every time i look at my reflection"

OOC: Hehehe well arn't you the firm GM hun. Good. Following rules is a good thing to enforce.

IC: Whirlwind was a little disappointed that she didn't already guess what Wham-Shell had been up to, she should have known he was doing some sort of investigation as that what's most of the Skylander's were up to nowadays. Although she herself wasn't as helpful in the investigations, because sadly storm clouds and rainbows did not gossip.

She had been listening intently up until the comment he made that sounded reminiscently like they were 'in his way'.

"Hey wait Wham-Shell that isn't very nice! We arn't just creature's you know w-" She cut her sentence short when she finally took note of his smirk, and cursed herself for not picking up on his teasing and falling right into his trap and reacting to his words. "Oh well if that's how you think, at least we are creatures of high standing, unlike you King of Crabs." She shot back teasingly with a wink, insinuating there was a difference of importance between them based on species. Although she quietly hoped he did take it as a tease-back, cause she would feel very guilty if she ever hurt a Skylander's feelings...

"And it wasn't funny! He took of his head and spoke to me... I quite like my head actually attached thank you. Besides, it was more a startle then anything." She retorted back in a quite voice, glancing at Ghost Roaster then back again. It was a lame excuse, but she was indeed still frightened over it, and yet it was so very simple. She knew that Ghost Roaster was only playing with her, so it was a little upsetting to know that she was so easily frightened.

"It's ok Ghost Roaster, I know you were only playing." She spoke back in her normal happy voice, trying to force the image of the talking head out of her mind. "Anyway, if you were just going to report Wham-Shell, then what were you going to do Ghost Roaster? Did Hugo call you here too?"

IC: Wham-Shell chuckled at Whirlwind's comment. "You wouldn't speak so lightly if you met the crustaceans who live in the darkest depths. The Leviathan is a guppy compared to most of them."

"As well, I always find it remarkable that you are intensely brave in combat against all sorts of nightmarish monsters, but when a friend of yours removes his head, which he does regularly, you become as pale as a ghost! You are definitely an amusing one, Whirlwind."

Wham-Shell's previous serious demeanor had faded away, his face now showing joy and ease. Being swept away with his friends often resulted in this, which wasn't something to complain about.

When the discussion turned towards Ghost Roaster's reasons for meeting with Hugo, Wham-Shell decided to elaborate on the question. "Did Hugo request you speak with the Undead world's occupants? See if they had seen anything suspicious?"

IC: Whirlwind hadn't expected such a comment from her friend. And turned her face away in slight embarrassment at being out-teased while trying to hide her smile. What he had said made sense, why did she get frightened from such a thing when monsters did not even phase her the least?

It was something that she pondered on while she waited for Ghost Roaster to respond.

IC: Wham-Shell's toothy smile broadened at seeing Whirlwind's embarrassment.
"Hmm, maybe we can uncover what Hugo wants of us soon. As in, right away, as he is awkwardly hobbling over to us as we speak."

And sure enough, Hugo was doing his best to run towards the trio. It definitely seemed he had a lot on his mind.

"SKYLANDERS!" He shouted. "I...have a...mission...for you!!"

IC: Whirlwind took a few steps back to avoid a possible collision, Hugo was running quite fast towards them and she didn't want to be in his way when he had to stop.

"Hugo, please calm down." She started gently. "What is the mission you have for us?"

'Please don't let it be more sheep chasing. Please don't let it be more sheep chasing. Please don't let it be more sheep chasing...' She prayed in her mind over and over.

IC: Hugo gasped and wheezed, trying to catch his breath. Wham-Shell thought that Hugo would pass out.

"You should not over exert yourself, Hugo." Wham-Shell told him.

"Don't worry about me now! I have important news concerning Glumshanks!" Hugo's reply immediately wiped away Wham-Shell's previous cheerfulness and replaced it with his battle-ready seriousness.

"What news?"

"Kaos' old floating castle has anchored itself to the Gemini Isles! Glumshanks' army has infiltrated the villages, and according to reports, it seems they are searching for something! That's why I had you talk to the fish, to see if our island has been invaded! Who knows what they would do to the Core if they got it again!" Hugo was in full panic mode at this point. Usually, Wham-Shell would give a solid whack on the head of one of his panicking troops, but considering Hugo wasn't covered in a protective shell, this choice seemed unwise.

IC: Seeing the sheep-hating mole virtually suffercate himself in his own panic, Whirlwind walked up to him and placed a paw on his shoulder.

"Hugo, calm down." She said gently, smiling as per usual. She didn't think it would have much effect, and it didn't, but it was still worth a try. "You need to learn to be more calm Hugo, we can handle this. Stay calm and explain slowly, you know more about the mysteries of Skylands more then most everyone so do you have any idea what in particular Glumshanks' army might be searching for?" She asked just as gently, although with a certain firmness to her voice that appeared while thinking about the army invading the Gemini Isles. She had been there only a few days before, and now it was in chaos, she hated to think of what was happening to the villagers at this very moment.
