I'll start things off! I'm a 35 year old dad of three. All my kids (13, 10 and 7) like Skylanders. Once upon a time I was huge into the game Attacktix and was even an official play tester for Hasbro. Since then I've tried a few other games and am hopeful Skylanders will stand the test of time.
Even if it doesn't, I'm going to enjoy the ride as long as I can! I hope this forum can grow and be a lot of fun for fans of the game.

Hi there! I am also a Dad of 3 that has recently been introduced to this new innovative collectible video game. It seems like it has some interesting pvp aspects to it that really intrigue me. I am looking forward to what this game may become, and hope that it prospers into a nation wide phenomenon.

Hi there I am 27, wife to Tashiji, and a new mom to a 5-month-old. We have an extensive collection (both boxed and playable unboxed) and love playing and contemplating new things that have to do with Skylanders. Aside from Skylanders, I am a Vocal Music Instructor and help my husband with costuming.

Hello! Like everyone else here, I am also a parent. I'm 25, and Vhraina and I have a beautiful five-month-old little snorter together; needless to say, we're incredibly proud.
In the real world, I'm a doctoral candidate in reading education, and part of my fascination with Skylanders is its application as a literacy tool for children and adolescents. Aside from that, I just love the game, the character design, and the fact that it's the best excuse I've had in the last 15 years to play with toys. lawl
I'm looking forward to working on Skylanders theory on these forums, as I find it severely lacking in the community in general. I think we can do some good work here.

Nice site and forum with great info so far. Thank you.
Got the game as Xmas gift for my 7yo son, and now we're both hooked, which meant more figures. Son finished story mode already on his own and got me involved for PvP mode.
Looking forward to the continued growth of this forum. Best wishes.

Hi there, I am Seraphirisu, call me Seraph for short x3
Oddly enough, I'm not a parent as one seems to look at me. I'm a student who got Skylanders due to see if such hatred was justified. I'll see to it that I can aid to the best of my abilities on competitive Skylanders and stay updated to all news.

Greetings fellow Portal Masters! You wouldn't believe how happy I was to hear that a new forum popped up with the sole focus being Skylanders! I love this game with all my heart and I haven't enjoyed a video game as much as I enjoy Skylanders. I am a university student who can't quite recall my first encounter with Skylanders, but I did buy it on Day 1 and have been obsessed with it ever since. I look forward to getting to know all of you better

Howdy folks,
I'm Zincdust, a single father of an 8-year old little girl. I'm 39 and have been a huge toy/video game fan my entire life, and my daughter is turning out to be the same! We live in Woodland, Washington, and I work in forensics in Portland, Oregon. I'm familiar with YF, as I was big into the Attacktix scene also.
Santa Claus brought my daughter a Skylanders starter set for our PS3, along with quite a few figs. Here's who we have to start off:
Spyro/Trigger Happy/Gill Grunt (of course) Stealth Elf (my daughter's favorite) Drill Sergeant (my favorite) Whirlwind Zap Boomer Stump Smash Eruptor Terrafin (w/Pirate Seas set) Wrecking Ball Chop Chop Drobot Dinorang Sonic Boom Prism Break
Also, I procured a Voodood yesterday, but he's tucked away for my lil' girl's birthday.
I'm in the same boat as a lot of you, as 95% of the stores around me have empty pegs! And the ones that do have some, have singles that we already have. I'm also amazed that not only has TRU raised the prices to $9.99 for singles, but my nearest one has probably about 30 Boomers and nothing else!

Hey Zincdust, welcome to the forum!! Before I read your post, when I saw your name I was thinking it sounded very familiar! Hopefully this game works out a lot better than Attacktix, although I already think it will. Hasbro never gave the support that Activision is giving to Skylanders.
Got any legendary packs at your toys r us? Or do they only have Boomers left?

No, they have about 25 Darklight Crypts (in addition to the Boomers), but I'm not going to pay $25 for it when it'll show up elsewhere for $20.

Hi. I'm 25 and got into Skylanders after researching about it when we got the first shipment of figures at the Sears store I work at. I've also been an action figure collector for over 10 years now, so as soon as I learned about the game I figured i'd likely get it. Currently have the PS3 version, and will probably also get the 3DS version sometime soon.
