Well, you never know. All I know is, not many single pack Flameslingers are showing up on Ebay now. It's like most were sold. Glad I got mine, while the gettin' was good.

Getting was good? You paid over $200 for yours. I got mine for $83 and had I waited like 10 minutes, I could have gotten the other one for $71.
Honestly, I certainly hope there are very few of these and this game remains popular for a long time. Resale value would go up and I would have something worth more, monetarily, than my Jerry Rice rookie card from a collector standpoint. Then again, I wanna take him out and start playing with him.

200 is still good, when they skyrocket in price later on. Not that I will be getting rid of it, however. But the fools who are selling it for even 200 now, will be kicking themselves later, as they could have had more profit.
Even if there are only 10k in the world, that's still limited, because there are at least 1 million people out there, who own a Boomer, Eruptor, Dino Rang, Chop Chop, Flameslinger and Drill Sergeant, but not in silver or gold.
So I still say while the getting was good, because there's no chance to find silvers in stores anymore, and they don't show up as often on Ebay, which means people are holding onto them. Eventually, the golds will find their ways into hands of those who want to sit on them, all the while, they only have a chance to pop up at stores, for another month to a month and a half.
Nobody seems to be paying any attention to the triple pack golds. This means the singles are more popular. In being more popular, they will be worth the most in time.

I have copied/pasted a post I made in another forum and edited it slightly as it is just as relevant here as there:
I ended up paying around $180 for my gold Flamesinger as I was up against time pressure to try to get them all in one overall package sent to me. I also got the other two for better than expected prices so stuck to my desired average of around $150 for each gold one. That said, if I lived in the States I would have bided my sweet time instead of bidding my sweet money. I expect that over time these things will be worth a fair bit less, not more. These things are not valid investment; they entail a shorter term hype and sooner or later the bubble will burst. It true economic terms you cannot call it an investment as the item does not produce income so cannot be classified as a true asset. The concept revolves around "greater fool" theory. For those interested, please Google "tulip boom history".
For the record, I bought them for me and my impatience, not because of any elusive future value.

Well, guess only time will tell who's right and wrong about their value.
I think it will go up. However, even if it did, mine will never be for sale.

"Those who ignore history are destined to never learn from its mistakes" I hate to say it but precedence is on my side and vying the odds in my favour... Don't get me wrong, I would love to be sitting on a (pun partially intended) goldmine but the logical, rational investor in me fully comprehends the financial tenets of greater fool theory. hopetoprosper.com/the-greater-fool-theory/I will actually make a better bottom line: Even if an asset is poorly regarded right now, it will always be a sound investment in the long-run as it is putting money in your pocket (passive income) while you wait for it to be appreciated again.

Oh good lord. Honestly, are either of you ever going to sell your silver and gold figures? Yea, I didn't think so. So what difference does it make on who is right or wrong if neither of you are willing to even find out?

Two things will possibly happen in my household:
1/. One day my wife will want me to de-clutter the house again (as opposed to simply continue buying bigger houses) and force my hand to sell off the "crap".
OR
2/. I will live to a decent age, die, and my wife and/or offspring will sell off the "crap" that they so no point finding space for.
In either scenario I hope that said "crap" will be worth something but do not place much stock (yet another pun, folks) in it.
My intention is not to argue but to enlighten folks on fundamental investment theory to try to make the world a better place.

And it is very good information to know, so thank you chaosworrier It doesn't really even seem like arguing, more like debating IMO.

Don't worry Morph is just trying to tease/bait me... ...it all stems back to when we served in Nam together and I caught him in a compromising situation with a jar of grape jam and a boa constrictor.

Well that must have been traumatizing O.o Nah, it was the only way to get the snake off of me. I had to shower for like 3 hours afterwards. The peanut butter jokes didnt wash of so easily. However, it wasn't long after that incident that Chaos was caught in a rice patty with.....well I will respect his dignity and leave it at "he was caught."
