Wow, you're right, the seller does have a lot of them! They are going to have a pretty big profit if it works out for them.

I wonder why they thought pre-leveled figures were the way to go? I would rather do that myself, but I guess there could be someone out there who would rather have it done for them...

Takes away most of the fun in my mind. I love seeing the "LEVEL UP!" explosions and purchasing upgrades.
But to each their own.

Well, they're probably banking on the fact that A) you can reset them and level them if you just want the figure, and B) people these days like having things handed to them. We're the advanced community, so naturally, we want to level by hand. But considering the target audience for the game is kids, who love being OP right away, and most of the eBay buyers are desperate parents, it sort of makes sense to me.
I, too, like building my Skylanders from scratch, but that wouldn't stop me from picking up one I needed on the cheap, pre-leveled, and just resetting it. It's more about the cost than anything else.

Possibly a sign that Wave 3 is getting a higher distribution now and scalpers are suffering?

This could be a great thread not just for talking about this one seller, but posting any and all reasonable eBay listings we see. Whatever we may feel about eBay, it's useful information for those who still need the figures, especially our friends overseas. Who knows when they're going to get the ones we're finding more of by the day? Importing may be the only option.
Also, not everyone on the secondary market is a scalper. Some charge outrageous prices right out of the gate, but on the same token, if buyers want to jack up a $7.99 starting auction to $50, they're ripping themselves off. It's not as simple as saying that all eBay sellers moving Skylanders are scalpers.
Regardless, I do think that eBay sales at fair prices are few and far between, and deserving of a thread. ... Heck, add Amazon sales, Gamestop.com deals, whatever. We need to get the information out there about where new figures can be gotten reasonably, because in my opinion, that's a more proactive stance on the real scalping than just complaining about it on forums. We all have our two cents, but few stop to offer an actual solution to paying outrageous prices amidst the ranting.

Sorry about the scalpers statement, I was just at a loss for a proper word to use. I was fairly reluctant to use the term as I've heard it too much over at DS, but it was all I could come up with :S Sorry guys! I'm currently keeping an eye on the Toys R Us site every day. Been doing it since October

You're okay. It's not like we're talking about me here. I have no opinion on eBay sellers, but sometimes they can get goods to people at reasonable prices, and sometimes they can't. No worries.
