Overall I like the game. It's quite a bit different than the console version (which I knew) but I think that's a good thing. I feel like I'm getting more mileage out of my characters.
I haven't gotten all of my Skylanders into the game yet, but I'm already finding some that I really don't like. Prism Break is absolutely atrocious at jumping and I don't ever intend to play with him again. I actually died with him last night because I kept falling into ... well, nothingness.
Also don't like how Sonic Boom's babies don't really last very long, and Ignitor's flame soul attack just rotates around him like a shield.
On the flip side, Stealth Elf is amazing. I love love love that she has throwing knives!!! And she deals them at Drobot speeds. She's my favorite so far... but I've only tried the above plus Dark Spyro, Voodood, Bash, Whirlwind and Gill Grunt up to this point.

Stealth Elf is just always a top-tier character, no matter what version you're on. Love the heck out of her. Try Chop Chop! He's a monster on 3DS. My favorite Undead. He might be horrid on consoles, but I use him all the time on this version. Overall, the game is a ton of fun, and really shakes up the tier lists. More challenging than its console counterparts as well... some of the crystals will test even the most ardent gamer's patience. Now that we both have this one, what say we work on a tier list?

Chop Chop, eh? He's so low on my list that I hadn't even considered giving him a try yet. That's good to know! As far as tier list is concerned, I think we'd be doing the world a disservice if we didn't make one.
I've already got three bottom-feeders: Prism Break, Ignitor and Sonic Boom. Which is really sad, since Ignitor comes with the game.

Dark Spyro is different in every way from Legendary and Vanilla Spyros on this version. All of his attacks are unique, and he shoots lightning. A critical difference most people won't notice right out of the box, but because of this, he's incredible, and the others pale in comparison.
