All of my characters were level 10 with full upgrades before I got the 3DS version. Therefore they were already fully upgraded there. What happens if you start at level one on the 3DS and get to ten - and then go to the console version? Are you level 10 with no upgrades? If so, do you have any money to spend on upgrades?

You would be Level 10 with no gold. The biggest disappointment about moving Skylanders between the 3DS and Console versions. For the 3DS, I prefer to play with characters that have already been leveled up. Most of my characters are Level 10, but I keep having to hunt down gold. That is why the Pirate Treasure Chest is by far my favorite item.
