Skylanders has been out for a while now and with the release of Giants, we've started with our new Skylanders and the levelling up begins anew.
The question is, how will you train your skylanders and how did you train them in the previous game?
Will you play through the game with one Skylander and then repeat for the next?
Use the Skylander that benefits from the elemental area?
Buy one ability each and then go round again?
How do you do it?
Cheers Josh

We have beat all of the levels except the final one. Now we can keep going back into the game room and unlock the elemental doors to get about 1,100 gold. That's the way to get upgrades! Also, having the winged sapphires is extremely helpful - I think we have 14/20 so far.
Initially I thought it was too much trouble to level up/upgrade your characters. But once you beat the game I think it's significantly easier. So I'd suggest plowing through the game with Tree Rex or another giant and then start upgrading the rest.
