I just had this idea pop in my head.
If anyone is familiar with Marvel Ultimate Alliance, they probably know about the bonus levels you can play with each character. Each character's bonus level involves the one character's backstory or a seperate individual battle/mission they went on. They were very much story driven levels, and I think this could transfer over very well to Skylanders.
I think it would be cool if each Skylander unlocked a level that detailed part of their story in the game. As an example, Sonic Boom's level could be her hunting down the witch that cursed her, or maybe Gill Grunt rescuing his mermaid sweetheart, or even Spyro's detailing his battle against Malefor and freeing Cynder from his control.
I think this would be a good way to elaborate on the characters, the world, and also bring more value to buying a new Skylander.

That sounds like a pretty sweet idea. Would have been cool to have that tied into their heroic challenges rather than random things like "don't break the vases" or "destroy the haunted paintings."
