I just discovered this late-80's, early-90's series on Netflix a couple days ago. Have to say I am really enjoying it!
In short, it is a show that tells old European and Greek myths and fairy tales, framed by the narration of The Storyteller and his dog. The style it is done in is very similar to Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, and the puppets are excellent as always.
I say you should check it out if you like Henson's work, or well told fantasy stories!

P.S. The episode "The Luck Child" has one awesome griffin in it!
