Go onto iTunes or the Skylanders Facebook page and you can see they have a new game out for your iPhone or iPad! link: itunes.apple.com/ca/app/skylanders-cloud-patrol/id511136749You can use your Skylanders in the game, you just need your web-card to unlock them in-game. Wait. I threw those out. Well, I haven't tried the game yet, but if someone does, let me know how it is! |

The game is apparently in the "Canadian" app store. I tried to get it on my iphone (in the USA) and nothing has shown up yet.

I got this from the app store this morning on my iPhone and iPad. Just played for a few minutes with the kids before taking them to school. A few quick observations:
It seems to be a cross between Fruit Ninja and Jetpack. The first because it's primarily a quick swiping game (complete with bombs to avoid). The second because it seems to be the same level played multiple times with different mini goals for you to attain. It's not real convenient to enter your own personal codes, but it looks like you do it once and you can use that character any time you like. For those without the web codes or even a single skylander, there is still a way to unlock them individually as you earn tokens in the game.
I like that 99 cents got it for all my devices. I think it's a good idea and is likely something we will play to have fun and kill time when needed.

Sweet! What device are you playing on? My wife and I both have iPhones and my oldest daughter has an iPod touch. However, I find the game to be much easier on my iPad with the stylus. It's now the only device I play on - the kids still use the others though.
How many more forum members are playing this game?

I've gotten 12/30 acheivments so far. Is there any benefit to importing all of the skylanders? I've got one for each element, but beyond that, is there any advantage?

No benefit that I'm aware of. I've had one or two goals that required using a specific Skylander. I think the main thing is to have one of each element.

I play on my iPad. I would agree that it's much better than the iPhone! My game center u/n is aabbott888. It's pretty addicting. I will get much use out of my .99 investment.
