Here is a question:
They have TWO Water Expansions - Empire of Ice and Pirate Seas. They have one Undead Expansion - Darklight Crypt They have one Fire Expansion coming out - Dragon's Peak
Will they release another expansion set or two for each element? Would you want them to?

It's definitely possible through DLC, but probably for PS360 only if they do. The programmers clearly have a level editor--case in point, HCs--and despite the physical nature of the currently-released figures and content, we can't conclusively say they won't add XBL/PSN DLC in the future.
It just makes sense financially, and with past franchises, that's how Activision has been known to decide things.

After they get their fill of money from the current releases and possibly future ones, it would make more sense financially and buisiness-wise to make new levels and items available for purchase through a network. It gets to be too costly to make new real world items such as the ship or other figures to buy at a store. If they made DLC available through XBL or PSN or the Wii store, they could release it same-day, with little to no wait time between regions and countries. Not only that, but they could take a page from Little Big Planet and release a level builder as well as seasonal hats and make the game available for play online with other people. Have an age limit set for online gameplay. It wouldn't be very hard to implement a parental control for allowing players to meet up in game. Use an online server like what Diablo and Diablo 2 had where only a set number of characters were able to come online in the realm at a time... Hm... idea...

The only real problem I see in regards to Skylanders embracing DLC is that it bypasses the whole gimmick of the game: putting physical pieces on the portal of power. On top of that, they are also developing SSU (the online game) which is even easier to incorporate DLC into.

I really hope they include "Sunburn" with the Fire DLC?

Sunburn is part of the Dragon's Peak expansion, so no need to worry I believe that there can be a healthy balance found between DLC and the toys. Characters will still have to be bought in their physical form, but Heroic Challenges, hats, arenas, and even the expansion levels could be bought as DLC. The wonderful gimmick is still intact while incorporating a healthy digital business.

To clarify, isn't Pirates Seas actually an Earth element pack - given that it has Terrafin included?
Of course, it would logically be a Water element one, based on name...

Terrafin himself is kind of both Water and Earth too, though, so it works.

I'm not too sure what Pirate Seas would be. I just assumed water because it includes a ship and has the word 'seas' included in it's title. But Earth or Water, either way would work. Prolly Earth though because of Slam Bam. That means we need a Life, Tech, and Magic are needed... *drools for a new level as EoI left some to be wanted with the weird Enemy Count star achievement needed for completion*

I would love to have a Jungle/Forest level again. Those were my favorite levels in the main story, so having that again would be sweet.
