Moving forward, I think the fairest thing to do is to clarify that solicitation of votes is verboten.

And, for the record, there is a whole branch of marketing psychology study based on how the competitor which refers to a third-party entity gets the associated preference in relation to that entity. Hence, it is a tad disengenuous to claim there was no perception that soliciting votes from another forum would not have a potential advantage.

I am glad that user registration was suspended when it was as I wonder how the votes would have been skewed if it had not?

Third place isn't too bad. : ) I forgot to vote, but I probably would have voted for Trigger Happy's Gold. It's genuinely funnier than mine, so I wouldn't have had a problem hindering my own chances of winning. : )
