CYNDER (Undead) (Shadowdancer) Pros: Near impossible to catch. Penalizes the foe for trying. Fastest Skylander in game thanks to Shadow Dash, which--while not making her immune to damage--makes her quite difficult to hurt. Dash is on obscenely short cooldown and can be chained. Lightning shoots in a true 3D Cone that ignores terrain, allowing her to hit behind walls, up/down ledges, hit targets in air from jump pad or on ground while herself jumpings, etc. Cons: Low DPS. Cynder's only true fault is that she can not deal damage to the degree which she can avoid it; all her attacks are anemic. Two fast-move abilities is one too many (she doesn't really NEED Flight, another move would have been more useful, but it's still decent). "Deathbound" move literally does nothing, at least on PS3 version, making it a waste of gold. Comments: Stealth Elf, Drobot, and Cynder exist as a broken unholy trinity of power in Versus mode. The key to the Death Dragon's power is in her incredible mobility and ability to avoid most damaging attacks. This makes her a solid choice in PvE and PvP situations. Dash has a half-second recharge and can be spammed. You will Dash in the direction you are facing, so if flying take into account the lower maneuverability. Cynder ends up on ground after Dashing, even if she was flying. Hitting an terrain object will stop you cold, so proper aim and timing is essential. Tactics: Avoid direct fights with melee guys, use terrain to advantage for direct-shot ranged foes, stack ghosts on slow foes. She has an answer to almost any threat out there, except ceratin ones that are hard to damage and deal lots of hitpoints... Flame Soul Ignitor, for instance, who can tear her apart good despite his low HP because he doesn't need to move to run her down. Remember that your Dash makes you nearly immune to damage in the charge line (due to decreased hitbox size and immunity to interruption) and you can STILL pick up items while in that mode. So, use it to establish battlefield control and claim whatever items you desire. Adjust your strategy as necessary and go with your strengths. Path Choice Comments: She has more evasion and effects in the Shadowdancer path. Her Nether Wielder path will allow her to do marginally more damage, but it is more effective in a PvE standpoint than a PvP one. It can be argued that it is almost as effective in the PS3 version due to the lack of the working Slow effect on the Dash Ghosts, but in every version where that Slow works, it is the preferred PvP choice. In the Rock-Paper-Scissors of the Broken Tier, Cynder is the Paper that wraps almost all foes in an unyielding, constricting embrace. Tear it? So what, it's still paper. The laser-heated Scissors that is Drobot will simply burn it away even as it cuts, but darn, it'll bring a smile to your face each time you strangle the Life out of Stealth Elf. Version Differences: Dash not quite as fast, ranged, and efficient in Wii version, but makes up for it by actually having a working Slow ability. Due to the different nature of certain other Skylanders, some she could beat easily on PS3 are a real challenge on Wii, and vice-versa.

Tyris mentioned that the Wii version has a functional slow down ability and I think this is what really sets Cynder apart on that platform.
First of all, it's crazy how much those ghosts slow you down. If you're a melee character that has to get in range, Cynder is likely going to tear you up. Furthermore, it's incredibly annoying to shake one ghost off, only to have the next latch on to you. If there is a line of ghosts in front of you, you simply have to pick another route. You're not getting through there. Amazingly enough, the ghosts even latch on to Terrafin when he's underground. It makes him the slowest moving Skylander ever. Turtle speed. Ug.
Another thing about the ghosts is that you can't destroy them. Other helpers our there, like DT's doubles, can be defeated. These can't, so you simply have to avoid going where they are. On top of that, once they're latched on to you they will do continual damage. That's adding injury to insult.
If she's able to play keep away, she will nickle and dime you to death on the Wii.
