With no new Skylanders on the shelves for a while, I was seriously considering buying some more of the ones I already had if I could find any that had two legitimately good paths. Spryo seems to fall into that category, as does Bash. Therefore I'm now looking to pick up the Legendary 3 pack.
Anybody else that shines in both categories?

Bash is the prime example of two dominating paths; regardless of who you pick, he's a top-tier character. I certainly agree about Spyro... Chop Chop also kind of applies, actually, so you'd get the best value out of the Legendary pack for sure.
Others are...
Hex (one for PVP, one for campaign)
Wrecking Ball (sort of... roll's better, but not by worlds)
Stump Smash (see Wrecking Ball, but replace roll with Nut Crafter)
Other than that, they're mostly cut and dry, as far as I can see.

The ones that I had a really hard time choosing for were: Sonic Boom, Whirlwind, Flame Slinger, Terrafin, and Slam Bam. I tried to pick the paths that were unique for each character for my character I had (i.e. the baby birds for Sonic Boom). Thinking about getting a second for those characters, but some are Adventure Packs and it is not worth the $20-25 price tag.

I would love to pick up another Ignitor, but that's an even bigger stretch than a second Terrafin. I guess if I could find the 3DS pack on sale instead of the $70, I could resell everything else.
I tried Terrafin on the brawler path and was disappointed in his lack of burrowing speed. Right now I'm pretty torn on which Cynder path is better. We've switched to the ghost one (forgot the name) and all those ghosts slowing down your opponent is pretty nice.

Luckily for you, Ignitor is supposed to be out as a Single during the next round of characters. 3DS Skylanders was $39.99 last week from Best Buy. You may have another shot at that. I did the Lightning Path for my Cynder. I did like the full screen Lightning Move. On 3DS, she is a little disappointing though. The Lightning is very short even at Level 10.
