He is able to transform into a Mr Hyde like form. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyRvNrL0Xw0Edit: the same person also has a video of the bird Skylander too, can't link it from my iPhone though.

I really like the looks of the bird guy so far, and hey, Alchemist is able to get larger! I like the idea of a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde dynamic! This game keeps looking better and better and the news today alone is like overload!

Alchemist is likely to be a major competitor for my favorite Magic Element on looks alone.

I hope there are more 'transformation' style Skylanders. I always liked that sort of thing, as it gets you around the 'only 3 basic moves' problem. When you're in that alternate form, you have access to two other moves. I'd really like to see one where you hit that to transform, then have a timer where you're in the alt form, and while in that form the transform button is now an attack instead. Once you revert you'd have to wait awhile to transform again.
It looks like Alchemist has a tossible 'potion bomb' attack in his normal form, like Boomer's dynamite bundles. His 'Hyde' form seems to have those ranged claw swipes and the fire breath. Going to assume the 'third' attack for each is the transformation toggle.
We have a couple 'transform-ish' things with existing Skylanders. Like how Flight mode changes Drobot's forward-firing discs into a rear-firing attack. We really need more of that. In fact, certain ones REALLY need to adopt that style to give you variety. Sonic Boom, for instance, could really use this to change her breath into a different style attack when flying.
