I'll just grab my thoughts from somewhere else on this -----
Game this fall - Boooo. That is probably when D3 will come out and I will have no time at all to devote to a console game. I will also be broke from building a new PC in order to play D3. 8 new figures - Horay! The less searching I have to do to find these things, the better. Lets hope that all 8 are released at the same time in enough quantity that no one has to resort to nonretail means to acquire them. Higher price - I understand that bigger means more cost to manufacture, however it darn well better not be more than $12 or they will not get the sales that they are hoping for. 8 x 12 = 96 + 50 (game itself) = $146 for the new game. I love my kids, but that is just redonkulous. Old figures and portal work - Ya darn straigh it will work. Can you imagine the backlash if these things didnt work with the new game?
Online battle and co-op (online I presume) - If anything has taught us, Activision has listened to the masses about the current game and its figures. I have faith that Activision will include some sort of online compatability features for this game. It would be just as large of a negative to not have online ability in this game as charging more than $12 for the new figures.
We all knew there was going to be a sequel. We knew there would be new figures. Now we can hope for online play as well as the ability to jump.

I got excited when I read that there would only be 8 new characters - the Giants - then with this new finding that there will be 8 other regular sizes, I'm not sure what to think I am excited for new Skylanders, but also I'm not looking forward to searching for 20 characters and the damage on my wallet. Oh well, I'm sure it will be worth it! Light tech hm? Will these ones be smaller or normal Skylander size? So happy that the previous Skylanders will work though! Now I guess we have to wait and see if this will have any showing at Toy Fair. Hopefully!

Is that a bird with a gun?! Sold. Alchemist is an interesting name for that crazy looking guy. Chemical warfare Trigger Happy was the first thing that came to my mind!

Who's going to take on the responsibility of creating a thread and keeping it up-to-date with all the new pics and info?

Another thing I am happy about is that there will be Skylanders support for mobile. What that will entail, who knows, but I always need more Skylanders in my life I am in love with Tree Rex from watching the demo

I'm still not sure, as there is nothing really to compare him to in the second shot. Though I agree Magic seems most likely to be his element

Alchemist is a regular figure, though I still think he'll be able to grow, the potion in his hand has to do something: owtk.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/alchemist-skylander-giant.jpgEdit: Though the figure doesn't seem to have the pink around his eyes like the game model does, so maybe it transforms him in some other way. Edit 2: Just sw a youtube video, he is not a giant, but does have a Mr. Hyde like transformation. Link coming in a minute.

Really love the figure design, and you were right! He does get bigger! Good job on finding these pictures!
