Of all the paths in the game, none stump me more than Flameslinger. While we've used "too close to call" as an excuse not to pick on numerous other characters, we've still somehow managed to make a rudimentary consensus on even the toughest; Spyro, and Bash. However, Flameslinger is a different beast entirely, and I can't for the life of me figure out what's better for him. It's to the point where I just write both his paths off as being exactly the same subconsciously, and can't even muster a pick. Marksman is nice, and so is Pyromancer. They seem to perform about equally in both story and PVP; excellent in the former, shaky in the latter.
So, what do you prefer for Flameslinger, and why? On that token, what do you find to be lacking from the path you didn't pick?

Well, I went with his Marksman path. I like the idea of Pyromancer, but I find the flame circle to be nearly impossible to pull off in PVP. Beyond that, getting a charged attack for stronger arrows just isn't practical in PVP.
Therefore I'd rather have an improved ranged attack that comes with Marskman, and it happens whether you shoot the straight arrows or the lobbed one. Both are pretty good, even though they don't do enough damage to put him in a higher tier. And he has enough speed to run away and leave a little bit of damage behind to deter his pursuers.
Overall a character I really like, even though he's not as strong as most.

I really like Flameslinger, even though apparently he isn't "Upper Tier." I'll be honest, I'm more of a co-op player than a competitive player, so the idea of a tiered system is pointless for those like me. I like what I like, and I think Flameslinger is one of (if not THE most) nimble characters in the whole lot. To my knowledge, the only character that gives Flameslinger a run for his money is Zap (as far as for what Flameslinger does). Does that make sense?

I like mobility a lot so paths that focus on stationary attacks are less interesting to me.
