What designs for the forums would you like to see? So far, I'm toying with the Fire element. I will work on getting the other elements up as soon as I get Photobucket so we can have our custom images for the site as well as a new banner. Feel free to post ideas and let me know  |

I think having a different design for each element is a great idea! I'm not sure on eight different color schemes, but I'll see if I have any input. I was thinking it would be cool to just use the elemental symbol as the background for each type. Those are very easy to find via google and then can be tiled in a variety of ways.
For a website that has done a good job of incorporating different looks, check out pokemon.marriland.com

One last idea - do you like the shot of the four life skylanders as the logo, or would you rather have the game logo?
Unless someone is really good with an art program, there's no way to get these in color as they are original artwork by the game's character designer.

I think people are going to be picking themes based on their favorite characters; I know I did, and I do like Stealth Elf being in my banner. It adds a great deal more personalization than just the Skylanders logo, which you can find anywhere. The fact that they can't be colored is actually part of their charm, in my opinion; the subtle elegance of black & white is perfectly appropriate for forums dedicated to in-depth discussion. It gives the whole page a more adult look, a level of maturity that websites like DarkSpyro, oversaturated with bright colors as they are, cannot match.

I agree with tashiji on using the black and white group shots for each element, as I adore the art, and it matches the site's simple yet wonderful aesthetic. I look forward to an Earth theme if you plan on making one |

I plan on going ahead and doing the same basic thing for all eight of the elements, but I won't be able to do it until I get back home. Right now I'm at a conference in Colorado Springs (www.lifeimpact2012.org) but I still have wifi! My ipad + bluetooth keyboard are proving to be an incredible team right now!

Got back in town last night and I'm going to try and finish all of the forum designs today. Knocked out Earth first for Ank! If you guys find anything that is hard to read, please let me know. I am trying to test everything but could easily miss something.

Ok, they're all done. Gotta say, I'm not much of a fan of the water theme, although that's just because of the aqua color they gave the element.
And as much as I like the undead characters, I don't know if I want to go with this gray all the time...

Thanks! I just pulled colors from the actual elemental signs, it was mostly just getting through the leg work. I also like the magic theme and have been using it the most recently. I'll probably jump around, but I doubt I'll ever land in the water!

Well how about some new boards, like a Misc board where we can talk about other things, make a sklylanders roleplay, talk on new games that came out a gtag/psn id/ Friend code exchange?

Given a recent misunderstanding in another thread, would it be possible to request a minor edit made to the current templates coloring?? Could hyperlinks be given an obviously different color compared to the rest of the text? As it stands right now I can barely tell if hyperlinks are placed inside a standard sentence. If I'm not actively looking I dont see it. If I'm viewing the board from my smart phone I cant see the very minor color difference at all.
