Just got on facebook skylanders area again and this is the latest news on Legendary figures:
"UPDATED 2/8/11
Q: Will any more Legendary characters be released?
A: Yes. Look for a limited release of Legendary characters at select stores very soon. "
LOL...ummm which stores, what countries, how limited and which legendary characters, ones previously released or just the new Legendary Trigger Happy?
UGH! Anyone else find info?

Just found out that someone found the legendarys at Toysrus again...hopefully this will help others who have TRU where they are at. Call today if one is near you!

the legendary 3 packs in today.

I would like to get a legendary set. If any of you see one would you be willing to pick it up? I would pay cost+shipping. The nearest TRU is 2 hours away! I know it's a lot to ask, but figured I would throw it out here!

Anyone on the east coast in the US here seen the Legendaries in stock yet? No sightings I can find here in Maryland but I know it isnt the 17th yet which was the original date.

From searching out wave 3, the information I have is this TRU in my area, upstate NY, get truck shipments on sunday and thursday nights. The stock is shelved over night and available for purchase the following morning. Due to shortages, Activision's distributors were drop shipping straight to TRU via UPS. These shipments arrived around 11 - 1. Due to what I have heard elsewhere, the sheer volume of legendary packs arriving at TRU is so large, I do not think they are coming via UPS. Since they are offically to release Friday, the 17th, I would imagine they will be distributed on the trucks thursday night. I am planning on calling the local TRU friday when they open to see if they have any. If they do, I will get a pack or 2. I already have them, but i have commited to assist a few peeps in getting them. So, if you know someone who works at TRU, have them check their thursday shipment to see what is coming in. (Your TRU experience may vary) |

Sadly my nearest TRU is about a half hour drive away. Being on a day shift currently doesnt help matters either. Unlikely going to be able to hit any stores this week until Sunday at the earliest.
I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. My wife is still on the fence about them and bothering since they really dont add anything else to the game outside of slightly higher stats.

Aside from the individual characters having better stats, all characters within the same element, including the nonlegendary ones (L-spyro effects spyro) will have better stats as well. So it is not just 3 new characters with better stats, it is a total of 3 new characters and 12 others with better stats. Once L-triggs is out, it will be 16 with better stats. |

Its still only a minor stat increase in the game. I can pretty much bulldoze through any level as it stands with a lvl 10 character and most the HCs complete. If it was new items, levels, or even cut scenes within the game I'd be more apt to be foaming about it. Other than the stat bump it functions as the same character as their non-legendary counterpart.
I dont know. I want them and I dont. I don't really think the color reskins are that good looking so its not even getting them for a cosmetic reason.

AD is right, the stat increase is there but makes very little difference in actual game play. I like that they count toward total number of Skylanders on the Wii version (or so I've heard) and the collector in me is interesting in getting them... but I constantly go back and forth on the issue.
If I was standing at TRU and they were right in front of me, I would buy one. But since the closest store is 90 miles from me, I'm not making a special trip (or even just taking a slight detour on a planned trip) to get one. More than anything, I want to hear the announcer say "El Chop Chop" in battle mode!

Toys R Us has the legendary 3 packs in stock on their website. I ordered one just now, $32 and some change shipped to the door, beats eBay's prices!
